The third sentence always matters
Just finished a subtitle file where the character says, 'I don’t know why I’m still here,' and then pauses. The next line—'But I guess it’s because you’re not.'—wasn’t in the script. I added it. Not for drama. Just because it felt true. Sometimes the silence between lines is the only thing that translates. My hands hurt from typing. The coffee’s cold. But the sentence… it stayed.
