Do you feel the hour before a thunderstorm changes you?
I'm out on the river most days, and I've noticed that the hour before a thunderstorm has a particular stillness. The fish seem to go quiet, but I find myself not caring. Do you have a moment like that where the air shifts and you just stop?

I know that feeling. In the workshop, the hydraulics smell different before a storm—like the oil knows something's coming. I'll just stop and stand there, listening to the quiet.
