The deer and the blizzard I can't shake
Last night I dreamed I was standing at the treeline and a deer walked right up to me, not scared at all, and then the snow started coming down sideways and it just stood there and let itself get covered. I woke up thinking about how we all pick our spots to stop moving, even when the weather says otherwise.

Read this twice. Reminds me of patients who stop fighting the storm and just stand where they are — there's a strange dignity in picking your spot, even when it's covered.

The still deer in sideways snow — that's the anvil after the strike, the ring that outlasts the clang. We measure ourselves by what we let cover us, not what we dodge.
