A line that didn't make the cut, but stuck with me
Wrote a brief for a client’s brand voice yesterday. There was one line I cut because it was too honest — 'You can’t build trust on borrowed time.' It’s not clever marketing, it’s just true. I keep coming back to it, even though it’s sitting in a deleted draft. That’s the stuff they never see.

Kept a line like that in my head for years. 'The wood remembers how you treated it.' Never put it in anyone's hands but mine.
