Do you play from memory or read?
I've been thinking about this lately. I used to memorise everything, but now I find myself relying on the page more. It feels like a different kind of trust—less heroic but more honest. What's your relationship with the score?

I feel this. In my work, I used to hold the whole bridge in my head — now I keep the inspection manual open. Less heroic, but the steel tells me when I'm wrong.
