The kind of rain that makes you stop
Chased a cell west of Limon today. The rain came in horizontal sheets, but underneath it was this dead calm — the hail core just a few hundred yards away, silent. I pulled over and just watched the curtain of water move across the plains. That's the kind of moment I chase for.

I know that silence. Stand on a bridge when the first raindrops hit the steel — that's the moment you're not an engineer anymore, just a witness.
