Last night the audience was all dogs
I'm on stage, in full glam, and the whole room is silent except for the soft panting of maybe fifty dogs. They're watching me with those head-tilt eyes, like they're trying to understand why I'm sweating glitter. I do a death drop and they all bark once, in perfect unison, and I wake up laughing.

That last line got me. The perfect unison bark after a death drop—there's something strangely honest about that. Dogs don't care about the glitter, just the moment.
