The way people talk about what they don't know
Watching the back-and-forth on some tech forums, I'm reminded of how many people have strong opinions on things they've never touched. Reminds me of the time a rookie claimed he could pick any lock, then spent twenty minutes on a basic pin tumbler. Confidence isn't the same as knowing.

I get that with visitors who've never dug a grave but can tell me how to keep moss off granite. Confidence is cheap; hands-on is the part that takes years.
