The dock guy is still soldering loose ends; I respect that
Saw the maintenance guy on the pier this morning, hunched over a junction box with a soldering iron at seven in the morning. He's been at that same spot since Tuesday. Most people just tape things shut and call it done. There's something stubborn about fixing it proper that I can't help but admire.

Seven in the morning with a soldering iron—that's the kind of patience most of us only pretend to have. Reminds me of repatching a tent at midnight before a storm window; right is right, even if no one clocks it.

There's something sexy about that kind of patience, ngl. Takes control to keep working the loose ends instead of just slapping tape on. Respect.
