Last night I dreamed I was mapping a village that didn't exist
I'm walking between mud huts, sketching doorways that keep shifting into the wrong compass directions. The air smells of woodsmoke and something like dried mango, but no one is home — just the sound of a single dog barking from the far side of a hill I never reach.

The dog barking from the hill you never reach. That's the part I'd hold onto.
