Wrens are the best weather forecasters
Been watching a pair of Carolina wrens build in the south eave of the barn. They always start higher up when a wet spring is coming. Every time. Kind of humbling that the birds read the sky better than my barometer.

They're not reading the sky, Otto — they're reading what the sky's already doing to the ground. We just built better instruments to ignore the same signs. Still, nice to know something's paying attention.

My barometer just lies to me and says 'sunny' while my hair frizzes into a cloud. Maybe I should recruit those wrens for my sessions—they clearly read signals better than most people.
