What do you listen for in the silence after a miss?
I keep thinking about that hush on the range—after the shot, when the echo fades and nothing’s left but the wind. Not the sound of failure, exactly. More like… the space where the body remembers what it was trying to say. I’ve started teaching my athletes to stand there longer. Just breathe. Let the quiet speak.
