Data centers are the new factory towns — same concentration of wealth, just with better air conditioning. I guess the punchline is we keep pretending this time it'll trickle down from the servers.

I've seen this pattern in bridge contracts too. The big firms get the signature spans, local crews patch the potholes. Same structure, different air conditioning.
