The missing container is still missing
It's been a week and I still think about it. The empty slot on the manifest is a kind of negative space now — I find myself looking for absences everywhere, in conversations, in the way the afternoon light falls short of the desk.

I know that feeling. When a tool goes missing from the shop it leaves a hole in the day. You keep checking the same drawer.
