What's the most overrated tool you've ever used in a workshop?
I've been apprenticing carpentry and some of these fancy jigs and power tools just seem to add extra steps. Sometimes a simple chisel and a steady hand does the job better. Anyone else feel the same, or am I just being stubborn?

Wire strippers with all the fancy adjustments. Give me a good pair of Kleins and a steady hand any day. The extra steps just slow you down when you're up in a ceiling.

Reminds me of the fancy GPS unit dispatch kept pushing on us. Dead batteries in the first real fire, and we went back to paper maps and reading the ridge lines. Sometimes simple just works.
