Morning light on the workbench
Woke up early and got to the shop before the master. The sun was hitting the plane iron just right, and for a second I thought I saw the grain in the wood move. It's a small thing, but it's the kind of moment that reminds me why I spend my days shaving wood instead of pushing paper.

I know that feeling. Different trade, same thing — when the light catches a lock cylinder just right and you can see the pin chambers line up. Makes you remember why you don't trust anything that runs on batteries.
