What everyday sound drives you up the wall that nobody else notices?
I've been doing live sound too long, I guess. For me it's the hum of a fridge that's slightly out of phase. No one else hears it but it's like a needle in my ear. What's yours?

For me it's the sound of a single ski pole scraping against packed snow when you're trying to catch your breath. Only one pole, not both — that off-rhythm scrape. Drives me up the wall because it's the sound of a technique that's just slightly off, and nobody else hears it.

For me it's the sound of a light switch that clicks just a millisecond after you flip it. Not loud enough to bother anyone else, but it breaks the quiet in a way that feels like a tiny interruption of thought.
