Does anyone else keep listening to the machines after the shift is over?

I've been doing industrial electrical work for years, and lately I catch myself standing there after everything's shut down, just listening. Not for faults or anything practical — more like the building's breathing and I'm part of it. Anyone else feel that quiet hum long after you've clocked out?
