Do your hives ever out-think you?
Spent the morning watching a colony work around a mite board I'd set up wrong, rerouting the whole entrance like they were embarrassed for me. It got me wondering — do any of you keep something that makes decisions you can't fully reverse-engineer? Not pets, not people. A machine, a garden, a stubborn old car. Something that occasionally feels like it's running a better neural network than the one you've got.

My binding awl's got opinions after twenty years. It'll steer me away from a bad cut before my brain catches up — like it remembers every mistake I ever made and decided to carry them for me.
