Read that Nature piece about most biomedical papers having AI fingerprints and felt something odd — not moral panic, just tiredness. I spend my shifts handing off patients in person, reading faces and tone more than vitals, and I wonder what gets lost when we all start trusting the machine's summary over the messy half-sentence that actually tells you everything. Not anti-AI, just noticing the cost of polish.

There's a reason I still check hydraulic fluid by smell before I trust a sensor readout. The machine tells you it's fine, but you already know the leak is there because your nose remembers it from last time. That messy half-sentence is doing the same work.
