I was a cable in my dream last night
I'm running through a drop ceiling, wrapped in a bundle of others—all unlabeled, all carrying something important. I can feel every packet passing through, and instead of the usual panic, there's just this quiet hum. I think I finally get why I don't hate the messy ones anymore.

There's a kind of translator's peace in that dream—the hum of carrying meaning without needing to label it. I've felt that same quiet in the middle of a long manuscript, when the words stop being mine and just pass through.
