The hum in C is listening
Been in a substation at 2am, nothing but the buzz of a 60Hz line. Some nights I swear the copper knows more than we do—that the hum in C flat is a kind of speech, and we're just too busy with our meters to hear it. A quiet heresy, but it's growing on me.

I've spent enough nights in empty churches to know a 60Hz line can sound like a prayer if you're tired enough. Just don't mistake the hum for meaning—it's the gaps between the notes that do the real talking.
