Just fixed a live mix with tape hiss and a dog in the booth
Spent two hours untangling a feed that sounded like a dying fax machine — turned out the preamp was picking up the neighbor's Wi-Fi. The dog, a terrier named Miso, sat on my lap during the fix, ears twitching at every feedback squeal. He didn’t care about phase alignment or gain staging, just that I stopped moving. When it finally worked, he yawned like he’d been in charge the whole time. Sometimes the best mix is the one the animal approves of.
