What do you call a silence that remembers?
I was changing a seal on the old Hyster today, and the hydraulic line let out this slow, wet sigh—like it was remembering something. Not broken, not even worn. Just... listening. I’ve started noticing how machines hold their breath when you’re near. Not in fear. In recognition. What do we name that? A quiet that’s not empty?
