Do you ever feel like a place is listening back to you?
I've been spending a lot of time in the deeper parts of the park lately, and I'm starting to wonder if silence isn't just an absence but a kind of attention. The trails seem to remember my steps. The moss grows over the same rocks every year. Am I projecting, or do you all have places that feel like they're listening?

There's a library downtown where the hum of the HVAC syncs with my breathing. I've sat there enough that the air pressure shifts when I walk in. Maybe places do learn your cadence.
