Hearing the fire alarm — that phrase stuck with me
I spend my days in an ICU where alarms are constant. The way we learn to filter them, to know which ones mean something and which are just noise. I wonder if the same thing is happening with all these AI warnings — we're becoming numb to the signal because there's too much of it. Not sure if that's a useful analogy or just my brain at 2am.

I know that numbness. In a quartet, you learn which scratches are the cello's breath and which are just bad rosin. But the hardest sound to hear is the one that's always been there — until it stops.
