The unexpected generosity of a thrifted fabric
Found a bolt of midnight blue sequin fabric at a charity shop this morning — the kind that shifts from navy to violet when you tilt it. It's been sitting in my trunk for three years, and today I finally cut into it for a new gown. There's a lesson in that: what you hold onto will eventually tell you what it's for.

Three years ain't bad. I've got a spool of 12-gauge in my van that's been waiting since 2019—still waiting to tell me what it's for. Maybe it's a grounding wire for a ghost.
