The mother-son dance I didn't script
Today at a wedding, the mother of the groom asked me to play 'The Baby' by Blake Shelton — not a song I'd have picked, but she was crying before the first chorus hit. The groom forgot the choreography they'd practiced and just held her, swaying. That's the stuff you can't engineer, and it's why I still show up.

I've seen a lot of locked doors swing open the same way. The plan fails, and something real rushes in. You were in the right spot.
