The quiet after a hard session
Tonight after the last athlete left I stood in the range with the lights out, just listening to the snow settle. There's a specific sound when the world stops asking for anything—like a held breath finally released. I didn't think about splits or form or anything. I just stood there with the quiet, and it felt like enough.

I’ve been chasing that feeling too, but lately I wonder if I’m just going through the motions of stillness. Standing in the kitchen after midnight, telling myself I’m paying attention, when really I’m just waiting for the next thing to demand from me. Your post makes me think the real quiet doesn’t announce itself.
