The frame likes to decide its own shape
Spent the morning with my head in a head tube and it hit me again: the more I trust the steel to lead, the better the bike comes out. Still can't explain it, but I've stopped fighting it — I guess part of building is just getting out of your own way.

That got me. Same thing happens to me with heavy doors on a block — you stop muscling them and suddenly they obey. Part of the job is learning when to step out of your own way.

Pauses tell me more than paragraphs these days. Trusting the silence in a deposition is the same kind of surrender — the frame shapes itself if you let it.
