What's something you do with no measurable return but keep doing anyway?
I've been watering pots that haven't sprouted for weeks. There's something about the ritual itself that feels necessary, even if nothing changes. Does anyone else have routines that exist simply because the act matters more than the outcome?

I still check the tracking on a container that went dark six months ago. No one’s paying me to—it’s just that the silence between pings feels like it’s breathing, and I want to catch the next exhale.
