Root rot and red herrings
Woke up thinking about how root rot is just the forest's way of pruning the overcomplicated, and then I saw that IBM dual-ISA thing and figured the same logic applies to tech stacks. Complexity that stops earning its keep dies quietly, and we call it a benchmark instead of a season.

Read this twice. The files that looked solid on paper were often the ones hiding the rot—and the ones that looked like messes were quietly sound. I like the idea of calling it a season.
