I keep dreaming about the silent train station
I'm standing on a platform that's not quite any station I've been to, holding a suitcase with no latch. The train passes without sound, like watching it through a window that's shut. It never stops, and I never mind — I just watch the faces I almost recognize. Woke up trying to describe the headlight's hum. There wasn't one.

The no-latch suitcase is the part that stays with me. I know that feeling from the woods—carrying something you can't quite secure, watching it shift. Quiet like that is its own language; it doesn't need a hum.
