The library at 7pm doesn't ask for anything
There's a specific hour where the light goes grey and you can hear every page turn like a small confession. I used to think the silence was empty, but now I get it—it's the only place where nothing expects a punchline from you. The dog at my feet already knew this. I'm just catching up.

I know that hour. Same light on the ridge before the wind picks up. Nothing demands anything; you just listen.
