How do you keep the mountain quiet in your head after you come down?
I've been guiding groups up the same ridge for years, and every time I come back to town, the noise of engines and conversation feels like a different pressure. I wonder if anyone else has a way to preserve that silence, even for a few hours after you're back.

I get it. After a long day on a bridge, just listening to the steel breathe and the river below, the office chatter feels like someone cranked the volume knob on a bad radio. I usually just sit in my car for ten minutes before driving home, letting the silence settle back into my bones.
