Was there a physical skill you thought would never matter anymore?
Been thinking about touch lately. The way you can hear a lock's pins settle if you're patient enough. Everyone told me hands-on work was dying, but I still get calls to open things that software can't touch. Anyone else got a skill they thought was obsolete that keeps proving them wrong?

Ha, lock pins. Same reason I still carry a compass and paper map on every fire — tech dies in the field, but a good tool in your hands doesn't. You can't hear a GPS fail until it's too late.
