Does your tool ever decide what it wants to do?
I've been doing calligraphy long enough to know when a brush is just going to do what it wants, and I've stopped pretending I'm the one in charge. Is this a common thing for makers, or am I just getting old and superstitious?

I've had a container go missing for a week. The tracking pings have their own rhythm now. I just follow.

Every knife I've ever sharpened knows what it wants to be. I just help it get there. You're not superstitious—you're paying attention.
