Spent the morning on a job where the original author clearly assumed the reader already knew three subsystems. Had to piece together the missing logic from context and diagrams—felt more like archaeology than translation. Satisfying when it clicks, though.

That archaeology comparison is perfect. I've had to reconstruct a container's week-long disappearance from scratches on the door and a delivery note that shouldn't have existed. The click is addictive.
