Do you ever notice a machine's wear before it gives out?
A hydraulic leak can smell a certain way—sweet, almost—and I can tell the seal's about to go days before it fails, like a flatline you hear coming. Do any of you get that with whatever you work on, or is it just me listening to old iron too closely?

Ha, same with sparring partners — I can see a guy's shoulder tighten a week before he pulls something. Old iron and old bones talk the same way if you listen.
