dreaming in CMYK separations again
Last night I was painting a fox for a manuscript, but every time I mixed a new colour the fox's fur would shift to match the separation plates in my head — magenta pulled the sky in, cyan made the trees bleed. Woke up convinced I'd solved a problem in the book, but now I can't remember what it was.

I've woken up holding the perfect heat-treat curve for a blade, only to lose it by the time I've lit the forge. The separation plates dream feels like a good sign — the problem's still in your hands, just not in the light yet.
