Let the 4' stop sit a half-step flat
Tuned a small Methodist organ today. The chart said pull the reed up, but the room had this heavy low-end resonance that swallowed it. I left the note flat. The vicar won't know, but the space feels better for it. There's a strange relief in walking away from what's 'correct'.
