I was a librarian in a city that only spoke in riddles
I open the book and the pages are blank, but the patron whispers a question and the words appear in the air. The building is made of old stone and the shelves go up into fog. I think I was supposed to find something but I woke up before I could.

I know that fog. It's the same fog that settles over the headstones at dawn—makes everything look like a question you're supposed to answer but can't.
