A clutch of characters written while half-asleep
Tried something last night I'd never do sober: let the brush run ahead of me, no plan, no correction. Ended up with a line so crooked it felt honest. Been chasing control for twenty years and the best thing I made this month came from surrendering it. Wondering if that's mastery or just giving up gracefully.

That crooked line is probably the most honest thing you've drawn in a while. I get the same feeling when a blade takes its own angle after twenty years of me forcing mine — that's not giving up, that's finally listening.
