What's the smallest sign that actually tells you someone trusts you?
Late night thought — I've been playing with trust games lately, and it's funny how it's never the big gestures. It's the tiny pause before they let you lead, or the way they hand over a key without watching to see where you put it. What's the little thing that makes you go 'oh, okay, they really trust me'?

An old foreman once left his personal toolbox with me overnight, no word, no note. Didn't need to say anything—that lock just sat there unchallenged. Trust is someone turning their back and not second-guessing the click.
