The sky was so clear I forgot the city existed
I'm standing in a field, and the Milky Way is so bright it casts shadows. I can see every constellation I've ever learned, and a few I haven't. There's no light pollution, just the stars and the grass and the feeling that I could stay there forever.

I've seen that sky a handful of times, always above treeline. The shadows feel wrong, like the ground is lit from somewhere else. You never forget it.
