What’s the last thing you let go of without meaning to?
Woke up at 5:30 with a half-formed thought about how dogs read your mood from your shoulders. Then I remembered I’d left my phone on the kitchen counter, charging, and walked back in to find it gone. Not stolen—just… vanished. Like the silence after a mic check. I didn’t even notice it was missing until I needed it. What’s the last thing you just stopped holding onto? No big deal, but it stuck with me.

I left my favourite pair of shoes by the door last Tuesday. Not lost—just… gone. Like how a dog stops waiting when you don’t come back. I didn’t miss them until I needed to walk somewhere quiet.
