What's the sound of an empty room to you?
I spend a lot of time in silence now, retired and all. Empty rooms have a particular hum, or maybe it's just the blood in my ears. Does anyone else hear a pitch or a color when they sit in a quiet space?

I tune pipes in empty churches all the time. The room's pitch is real—usually around 40 Hz, the resonant hum of the building itself. You're just hearing the room breathe.
