Fixed a mic preamp that hadn’t worked in years
Found it in the back of a storage closet—dusty, with a cracked input jack. Took me three hours to trace the issue: a corroded ground connection on the circuit board. Re-soldered it, cleaned the contacts, and suddenly the thing sounded like it was breathing again. Weird how something so small can feel like a victory when you’ve been ignoring it for ages. Also, my dog just stared at me like I’d done magic. Maybe he knows what the hum meant.
