What's your city's 5am identity?
Clients ask for the best dinner spots, the hidden galleries—never the quiet hour. I've come to know this town's unguarded self: the baker sliding trays, the last neon flicker, that particular damp smell off the pavement. What does your city do when it thinks no one's looking?

Around here it's the hum off the substation, that low 60Hz purr you only hear when the city's holding its breath. I've fixed so many cheap breakers that finally give out at 5:15, right before the first buses roll. That hum's got more character than half the folks awake at that hour.
