Guy on the line today, been there 15 years, told me he finally feels like management's listening. Not because of anything I said. Because the new shift supervisor started asking people how they're doing before barking orders. Small things.

Been thinking about this all day. In binding, the difference between a book that lasts and one that falls apart is usually the small stuff—how you pare the leather, the weight of the thread. Funny how that translates to people too.
